1.     Welcome

Eric Peterson called the meeting to order at 9:35.

 

2.     Brief overview of STAC/RTAC including history to current processes

and challenges was given.  Questions were answered at this time.

 

3.     Membership

A discussion ensued as to the definition and structure of the membership.  It was decided that membership should be open to anyone wanting to attend.   

 

4.     Committees

It was decided there would be three committees within the RTAC. 

·        PI (As mandated by STAC)

·        Out of Hospital

·        Education and Injury Prevention

 

5.     Executive Council

The structure of the Executive council was generated.  It will consist of the following representatives:

·        2 Trauma Coordinators

·        2 Trauma Medical Directors

·        1 Fire Based EMS

·        1 Non-Fire Based EMS

·        1 Volunteer Based EMS

·        1 Critical Care Transport EMS

·        1 ED RN From Outlying Facility

·        1 ED Physician From Outlying Facility

·        1 Pediatric Representative

·        1 EMS Medical Director

·        1 Hospital Administration Representative

·        Member at large for those counties not represented

The Executive council meetings will be open.  Voting will be limited to those elected to the Executive Council. 

 

Next Meeting – The next meeting will be held on December 11, 2002  9:00am – 11:30am at Bay Area Medical Center.  Voting for the Executive Council will occur at this time.  It was decided that regardless of the number of representatives, each facility/organization gets one vote.  The voting representative must be present to cast his/her vote.

 

 

 

The meeting was adjourned at 1:00 pm.
