EAGLE III offers a ground transport unit in addition to the helicopter and fixed wing aircraft. The ground transport unit is equipped with the same state-of-the-art technologies and equipment and is staffed with the same highly-trained medical teams. The ground unit is utilized when critical care level transport is required, but the patient's condition does not warrant an aircraft. It is also used when the distance traveled is not long enough to save time by flying or when the weather does not allow for air transport. |
